Musical Monday: Somewhere Over the Rainbow
One of my all-time favorite movies is The Wizard of Oz. And of course, the beautiful song Somewhere Over the Rainbow. This song was originally sung by Judy Garland in 1939 and has since been re-sung by many people. I’d argue that Judy’s version is definitely the best! Have a wonderful Monday!
Somewhere Over the Rainbow- Judy Garland
Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high
There’s a land that I heard of once in a lullaby
Somewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue
And the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true
Someday I’ll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far behind me
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
Away above the chimney tops
That’s where you’ll find me
Somewhere over the rainbow
Blue birds fly
Birds fly over the rainbow
Why then oh why can’t I?
If happy little blue birds fly beyond the rainbow
Why oh why can’t I?
