The Glamorous Golden Globes 2014
Watching the Golden Globes is always so much fun, especially with Suddenly Seven…who has quite an opinion on dresses, films, and music by the way. The first time that I remember watching the show with her was between my first and second chemo treatments in 2011.
Tonight’s commentary reminded me of that evening. Watching the beauty, frivolity and fun that is an awards show can be a great relief and escape from the perils of treatment. I vividly remember that it was for me. Watching the awards shows took me out of my flannel-snowman-pajamas and skull cap and helped me dream beyond my current situation.
As a matter of fact, the shows still do that for me. I have a humongous work week (full of nerve bugs) coming up, but I tonight I found myself being fully present, enjoying the show with Suddenly Seven and the HOTY which was a great Silver Lining.
I thought that tonight’s show was great fun: full of great fashion and laughs. The “Randy” character cracked me up. Oh my goodness, were we ever laughing! Below are some of my favorite dresses:
