The Silver Lining Video

The Silver Lining Video

Only a week and a half before The Silver Lining book arrives!  Oh my goodness, I feel the exact same way that I did just before Excitedly Eight was born:

“I’m so ready to be DONE and to birth this thing” (I say “thing” because during my pregnancy, I felt like the impregnated Sigourney Weaver in the movie Alien)

AND “WAIT! HOLD ON! I’m not ready yet. I have so much more preparation to do!”

Well, much in the same way that the baby delivery was inevitable, the delivery of the book is inevitable.  Both of which are actually incredible Silver Linings! And, for the record, since her birth, I never once referred to Excitedly Eight as a “thing”.

For all of you who have ordered the book already, THANK YOU. For those of you who haven’t, please consider doing so now. It would mean the absolute world to me.

Today, I’m super excited to share The Silver Lining video with you.

Next week, I will be sharing the book tour schedule (because I’d LOVE to meet you all!) as well as the television appearances.

Here we goooooooo!!!!!

  1. Lord, do I know how you feel? My book is launching on April 16th to a party with a 1000 of my closest friends. LOL. Just kidding —well, sort of, but not by much.It has me sleeping only 3-4 hours a night, worrying, thinking, and second guessing every word I wrote. Just like waiting to see what the baby looks like at birth, and if all the parts are there and if healthy. In my opinion, it is just like birthing a baby. Good luck, Hollye. I can't wait to purchase one.

    1. Oh my goodness, I feel the EXACT same way! What is your book about…do tell. So happy for you!! 🙂

  2. p.s. LOVE, LOVE the video.
I didn't realize I could order the book now. Yay!
Good luck on your tour. Remember yourself first:-)
    Stay rested…..

  3. I won your book!!! and it is amazing. I was diagnosed with breast cancer December 2011. I have been reading your blog since. Your book as a gift would make a huge silver lining in any newly diagnosed breast cancer persons life. I have signed up to see you in Chicago in April.. can't wait! Congrats Hollye

    1. Fantastic, Betty! So excited to meet you! Thank you for reading the blog and for all of your support. 🙂

  4. Hollye, this is a great video introduction to your book.
I hope your book tour includes a stop at Barnes & Noble in Omaha. I look forward to personally meeting you, and having you sign my book. (I will check your tour schedule next week.) Good luck with the tour!!

  5. Hollye dear,

I'm thrilled about the launch of your beautiful new book.
Your inspiration and selfless sharing of your journey
with breast cancer will be a comfort and guide for many.
God blessed you to be the survivor and messenger. I
loved the video and look forward to meeting you one day.

    With hearts love,
    Joanie

  6. Hollye,

I was lucky enough to get my hands on a "pre-print" version of your book. It is fabulous! My cover looks different then the one in the video. While I do not have breast cancer, find this book amazing and insightful. It is very helpful to understand what others may be going through and how to support them…..or give them the space they may need.

    1. Oh wonderful, Jeanne! So happy to hear the news!
We did change the cover to the teacup, so your cover is especially unique. 🙂
      Hope that you enjoy it!
