Happy Father’s Day!
FBC
Friday's Fixin's: Kitchari
As I’ve mentioned before, I’m beginning to get my head around cleaning out, physically (and emotionally!). After the immense amount of toxicity that I’ve had in the 8+ months (& that’s just the treatment…not even counting the breast cancer!), my body is screaming for a cleanse.
Reboot
As this period of aggressive, daily treatment for breast cancer is coming to an end (Silver Lining), I’m feeling as if a “Reboot” button is about to be pushed….and I don’t yet know what will appear on the screen as a result….
Truth is Ageless
Unfortunately, challenging life circumstances abound (e.g., illness, divorce). No one is left untouched. The Silver Lining, though, is that there are tools…ways to communicate with and include children so that it is possible to not only survive, but sometimes even thrive!
Resilience
My last Radiation treatment is a week from today. Wow. Absolutely remarkable that nearly 8 months have passed since my breast cancer diagnosis.
Everything related to FBC is far from over. However, every new day is another step in the right direction (Silver Lining)!

Room is about a five-year-old boy, Jack, (written from his perspective, in fact) who has lived his entire life locked with his… Continue reading SL Book: Room
Lead, Follow or Get Out of the Way
In the past nine months, thanks to breast cancer, I have had to look fear in the face and either go around it, through it or over it. Good thing that I’ve gotten pretty good at it (Silver Lining!).
Journey
Poetry…beautiful, soul-searching, enchanting, eye-popping, inspirational poetry keeps coming into my life (Silver Lining). I’ve never been a big poetry fan. Ok, honestly, I have always had a tendency to avoid it at all costs. Why? Well, because it has always intimidated me. Which, I know-I know, is not the fault of the poetry! Until now,… Continue reading Journey
The Silver Pen Loves Bill
Today, I had a Silver Lined afternoon when I went to see the Bill Cunningham New York documentary. It is a perfectly joyful way to spend an afternoon…away from breast cancer!
