For years and years, I always forgot at least one thing on every trip. It didn’t matter if it was an overnight or multi-week trip…something (plural) was always missing! One time, the HOTY and I went to LA for a black tie fancy schmancy trip and what did I forget? My DRESS for the event. Ridiculous, right? And let’s just say that my forgetfulness doesn’t thrill the HOTY.
So, I decided to come up with a check list that I use in preparation for every trip, short and long. Thought I still forget things, it’s not quite as frequent…or egregious (Silver Lining).

I liked it back when I traveled more with my teenage girls (3 of them). If I forgot anything – I could usually find it in triplicate in one of their suitcases! On one trip I remember wearing my 10 year old's mickey mouse belt – in dire need to keep my pants up! Bon Voyage!
ps. Sometimes the forgetfulness works in our favour…. the buying of a replacement while we're away! Yes, husbands are rarely too keen on that.
