  1. This post reminded me of a book I so much enjoyed a couple of years ago, -Slow Love: How I Lost My Job, Put On My Pajamas & Found Happiness- by Dominique Browning. Did you ever read it?
Dominique, just like you, has such a HEALTHY-POSSITIVE-LOVING gaze of the world, how I miss HOUSE & GARDEN, that was a magazine that sure made me happy to read every month.

  2. Ah, Hollye, you remind me of my Mom in so, so many ways. Lin Yutang was one of her favorites. I have a very old and battered (from 1960) copy of his book, The Importance of Living, which belonged to my grandfather. He gave it to my Mom for a milestone birthday, she gave it to me on my 21st birthday. It is one of my treasures and very much a Silver Lining reminder of two very, very special people. After my Mom transitioned, I found a little handwritten note from her tucked into my wallet which said "It is never too late to learn how to live." I always have it with me. Here's to many, many more Silver Linings and Pajama Days!!!

    1. Wow, E.B., thank you of your kind and thoughtful note. I am truly honored. What a beautiful story. Thank you so much for sharing! Enjoy your Pajama Day!

  3. Dear Hollye,
I was just pondering over how inadequate I felt since I spent all day in my PJs. I did about 20 minutes of actual work, considered changing and going out into the world, but resigned myself to staying in for the day. Thank you for normalizing, and even praising, this activity. After a few days of darkness I am so thrilled to have your joy and brightness around me.

    1. Inadequate?!? Not a chance! I'm so, so, so happy to hear that you stayed in. I hope that you were able to enjoy every minute. Thank you so much for sharing, Camille!!
