Booby Removal and Reconstruction

Do work, boys!

Dear Friends,

November 9th. Tuesday. Tomorrow.  It’s here. We will be dragging ourselves out of our slumber at 4:30 am to get to the hospital by 5:00 am for surgery, which is scheduled for 7:00 am.

Surgery will likely take between 5 and 7 hours.  Yes.  It’s a doozie.  However, I am reminded that as a result, my chest will be as perky as my personality.  SL.

A HUGE  SL to be the first case.  This is so great for so many reasons, the least of which is that I will have a jump start on recovery and healing which could hopefully result in an earlier discharge.

Thank you for all of your love, support, kindness, humor and generosity.  We are so wonderfully overwhelmed by the outpouring of love.

Because I will be happily  and fully buzzed tomorrow, please look for a full report from the Brookside Husband.

With lots of love and gratitude to you all!

  1. We have all our fingers and toes crossed for a SL day of plastic surgery, (proceeded by the necessary surgery, about which we are holding good thoughts). Love and kisses, K & J

  2. We are convinced that all will go well including
    beautiful new boobies.
Just waiting to hear the confirmation from Jeff.

  3. Having gone through severe chronic illness, not FBC, throughout a great deal of my children's lives, I totally agree with your posts about being honest. We were honest with our children, including one with autism, and reassured them on a daily basis that they would be taken care of and so would Mommy. One thing that happened that we had no forseen was what their little friends would tell them. I was in the hospital 6 times one year for a totaly of 12 weeks with surgeries and recurrent pancreatitis. One of my daughters friends kept telling her that I was probably going to die. She didn't share this with us…her kindergarten teacher overheard it and told us. The child wasn't being mean…he was just using his own understanding of the world(ie people who are always in the hospital are going to die). It is and was an issue that has/had to be addressed. I am glad to say..all this happened 22 years ago and I am still fighting the fight…and taking note of all of my silver linings.
