This weekend, I had an extraordinary opportunity to see Bruce Springsteen perform at Wrigley Field in Chicago. Everything about it was so very special and Silver Lined.
When he sang, “My City of Ruins,” I was incredibly inspired. Before singing the song, he talked about ghosts. Yes, ghosts. He said that they are pieces of your memory and your experiences and there is nothing to be afraid of. He asked the people in the crowd to think of their ghosts. He said that the older you get the more you have and that they remind us if the value of life and time and the preciousness of this evening. How’s that for a Silver Lining.
Whenever I hear this song, I will always think of the beauty of the spirits around us and how we can all RISE UP among the ruins.
