Yesterday, I was visiting a friend and she showed me her new bicycle. My jaw dropped. It was quite possibly the chicest bicycle I have ever seen, replete with a wicker basket and – get this – an electric mechanism to help her get up the steep Santa Barbara hills. When I say steep, I mean STEEP. So steep, in fact, that Lance Armstrong used to train here during the winter months. Seriously.
Even though I am not an avid bicyclist (I became a tad skiddish riding in the streets of Chicago zig-zagging between cars, busses and taxi cabs), I still think that it is a beautiful and gorgeous sport. Anyhoo, after the visit with my friend, I found myself dreaming of bicycles and all of the wonderful accessories that go with them….Silver Lining.
The bicycle is the most efficient machine ever created: Converting calories into gas, a bicycle gets the equivalent of three thousand miles per gallon.

The bicycle, the bicycle surely, should always be the vehicle of novelists and poets.

I received a road bike for Christmas my HOTY. I'm in love! I'd love a cruiser though to just ride around and do errands! Love the pictures!
Oh how fabulous! Glad you are in love! Have fun…
Charming, HFJ, like you!
You're the MOST charming, MFB!
When sweetly 6 is ready to ride a bike just get a beach cruiser and load them on a bike rack on the back of your car and head to East beach and bike to Leadbetter and back!!! Soooo fun with kiddies and safe on the bike path! Also you can bike on the bike path off of Modoc to Goleta beach and back so beautiful and safe with kids!!!! We bike everywhere here with safe bike paths on city streets for the older biker!!! 🙂
Great suggestion, Kathy. Thanks!
Hi Hollye, thanks so much for the link-back and the note, so appreciated!
