Silver Linings Playbook is a Major Silver Lining!

Last Thursday, the HOTY and I stole away in the middle of the day to go to Silver Linings Playbook. That in and of itself was a Silver Lining in our week. Anyhoo, I’ve been soooooo excited to see this film since first hearing about it.  I mean, c’mon, these are my people!!!

Here’s the synopsis: Pat Solitanohas lost everything — his house, his job, and his wife. He now finds himself living back with his mother and father after spending eight months in a state institution. Pat is determined to rebuild his life, remain positive and reunite with his wife, despite the challenging circumstances of their separation. All Pat’s parents want is for him to get back on his feet – and to share their family’s obsession with the Philadelphia Eagles football team. Then Pat meets Tiffany, a mysterious girl with problems of her own and things get complicated. Tiffany offers to help Pat reconnect with his wife, but only if he’ll do something very important for her in return. As their deal plays out, an unexpected bond begins to form between them, and silver linings appear in both of their lives.

Can I just say that this movie is extraordinarily wonderful, amazing and inspiring. It will inevitably be a Silver Lining in your life when you see it! I’m getting goosebumps just writing about it.  In fact (full disclosure), I’m planning on seeing it again.
