Here in Santa Barbara (and all over California, really), we are incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by the freshest, most wonderfully healthful fruits and vegetables. We literally have a farmer’s market EVERY day of the week…all year round (Silver Lining). Coming from the Midwest, I’m still amazed (& filled with gratitude!) about this!
Recently, I had a wonderful opportunity to meet with and learn about the CSA movement. I’ve been hearing about CSA’s for ages, but never really knew what they were or how they worked. Carolyn Givens, an adorable and fun and incredibly informed farmer from Something Good Organics educated me about both CSA’s and what it’s like to be a farmer. I’m now a total convert!
