What is it about shoes? I just love ’em. I do. Perhaps it is Marilyn Monroe who said it best,
Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world.
I happen to think that shoes are the most important part of an outfit. No matter how ho-hum your outfit is, the right pair of shoes can transform. There is no end to the creativity of shoes, between the colors, shapes, sizes, fabrics/materials, clasps, buckles, straps, jewels…I could go on and on and on.
My friend Elizabeth Messina feels the same way about shoes (and just so happens to take lots of photos of shoes!), so today’s Sunday Sweetness is all about shoe candy. What? This series is all about sweetness, right?!?

Loved this post! While thrifting with one of my BFFs (and my Most Fabulous Fleaing Fairy GodMother) recently I ran across a pair of pristine BCBGirls stilettos, pale yellow silk with multicolor butterflies and flowers, they were the wrong size, but at $10 were irresistible! They are now decorating my closet and look so pretty. They make me think of something Mother Nature would wear at for an elegant dance welcoming Spring. I always smile when I see them. Shoes and purses, they always fit!
