The Silver Lining on Good Morning America!

The Silver Lining on Good Morning America

So THIS happened today: an interview on Good Morning America. I am still pinching myself.

Here’s how it came about: A few weeks ago I had the great and wonderful opportunity to meet the dear Robin Roberts. And, YES, she is as wonderful as you would imagine her to be.  As she mentions in the clip, one of the first things that she said to me when we met was, “I wish I had this book when I had breast cancer.”  Talk about the ultimate compliment!  Then she asked if I would consider sharing The Silver Lining on Good Morning America. What an absolutely joy it was to enthusiastically say YES (!!!) to her!

I am so grateful to Robin and the entire Good Morning America Team for sharing The Silver Lining.

  3. I am so glad that you included this video of your interview with Robin Roberts, because I would not have been able to see it on TV.

You looked great! And you sounded genuine, confident, engaged, charming and articulate.

    Well done, little lady!!

  4. Hollye dear,

Your smile, beauty and inspiration light up the room.

  5. I'm going out and buying your book right now knowing your words and message will help me along this unsolicited path of cancer.
    Thank you for your bravery.
    Write on!!

    1. Thank you so much, Susan! I hope that the book helps you. Your description of an "unsolicited path" is genius. Take good care!

  6. Hollye, I now have your book sitting on the table in my office. It is amazing how many people walk in and are immediately drawn to open the book. Next words are, "My friend was just diagnosed and is trying to figure this all out. Where can I get a copy for her?" What an amazing silver lining your book is!

  7. What a powerful +3 minutes, I loved that the beautiful photographs were included. What a great job you did, hopefully many people find your book and this site – congrats Hollye!

  8. Congratulations, Hollye, on the book and all the much-deserved accolades. You are positively beaming in the photo with Robin and your dress is a serious "Wow!" Do you mind if I ask who is the designer?
Wishing you continued success and all the best, always.

    Shawn

  9. Wonderful interview, incredible gift to everyone touched by breast cancer. You continue to model grace, beauty and strength Hollye! Congratulations!

  10. OMG!!! I saw you on GMA!! You were so great and relaxed. I didn't put it together with this blog, though. Great time for the book to come out – Just before Mothers Day. Are you having any book signings in the Boston area? I would love to go. Have a great weekend!!

    1. Thank you so much, Katie! No book signings are currently planned in Boston, but I'll be sure to keep the blog updated on events. Thank you, again!

  11. Just realizing I could've commented the usual way! In case my FB comment didn't work, I just want you to know you are a Bravehearted Beauty in every way! I so admire how beautifully and bravely you have discovered and shared the silver lining in your story. You will bless many! {Thankful to Brooke for sharing your book on her blog.}

  12. I saw your interview on Good Morning American and went and ordered your book online. Your book was wonderful reading and it prepared me to go my appointment with my Radiation Oncologist for the measuring and the tatoos. Thank you so much.

    1. Wonderful news, Pam…though the truth is that I wish that you didn't need my book at all! Please take good care and let me know how I can be of assistance to you!

  13. What a great interview, it’s so nice to see you speak and hear you express yourself in person, vs. via the blog – you are so sincere and caring in your mannerisms, it really comes through that you are committed to making a difference in the lives of others. Congratulations, it’s so great that your book is getting such recognition and will help so many women out there who will be diagnosed in the future.

    1. Thanks a million, Claudia! My goal has always been to help those who have to follow me down this rotten path. Thank you for writing!
