Sweet Darkness by David Whyte

As I mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically prepare for surgery on Tuesday, this poem appeared. It presented itself at precisely the time that I need it…as poems have done so frequently this year (Silver Lining).

It is a gift to me. I hope that it is one to you as well!

  1. I am the Director of Legos for LeukemiaVA. You can read My Story and how I started it in Virginia after meeting the founder, Christian Flanders and his Mother LeAnn who founded Legos for Leukemia in Colorado 2009. You can read their story at Legos for Leukemia. Christian lost his father to Leukemia.

Prayers and Blessings to you as you have your surgery and continue your journey.

  2. Thank you for having this site. So many people have found just the hope they need here. I have never had cancer, thank God, however I have been near death with other trama. This is the place for me to seek comfort and to tell others about. I plan to continue to like you on Face Book.

  3. Praying for peace of mind, comfort for you body, and the gift of a skilled surgeon. As Julian of Norwich said, "and all will be well, and all will be well."

  4. What a beautiful poem that is. Best of luck on Tuesday.
I have had breast cancer twice in 16 years. Coming to your site gives me a lot of
