Friday Photos: A Little Bit of This and A Little Bit of That

How was your vacation?  I hope that it was fantabulous. Between Christmas and New Year’s, the HOTY, Sweetly Six and I have had a whole lotta fun, what with hiking, water slides, tennis, and rainbows, how could it be anything other than amazing?

I hope that your New Year is off to a wonderful start and full of Silver Linings!

One of my favorite hikes in Santa Barbara. Hiking, by the way, is one of the great joys in my life!

Taken at the wedding of great friends. Amazing!

I was working in my office one day and a good friend called and said, “Hol, you gotta go outside of your house and see what’s right over it.” Yes, indeedy, this (double!) rainbow was Right. Over. Our. House. It was the ultimate Silver Lining!

On our vaca, Sweetly Six rocked the water slides. And the Silver Lining of the trip was that I took this photo from my lounge chair.  Just sayin’…

The other Silver Lining of our vaca was tennis every morning. At the clinic, the pro couldn’t believe that I played with both hands. “Did you really just switch hands?” he asked. Another Silver Lining.

Sweetly Six’s little wet footprints running from one pool to another. Is there anything sweeter?

  1. Hollye, so happy to hear that your family got to enjoy each other on a vacation during the holiday break. Vacations are restorative and a time to vacate the daily grind and just have fun. Thanks for posting the pictures too.

  2. Loved the photos – the perfect break from a gray morning! And the water slide aside a lounge chair – how civilized!! Do you mind sharing the location? Sounds like a vacation my whole family might enjoy..Here's to a happy and healthy new year
