Friday Photos: Spring is in the Air!

Happy Spring!  I hope that spring is (finally!) coming your way.  When I was in South Dakota last week, it was mighty cold; however on my way out of town, I heard that it was supposed to get warmer (Silver Lining). Moving to California from the Midwest, I never imagined that there would be seasonal changes. I couldn’t have been more wrong! While seasonal changes are not as pronounced as they were in Midwest (e.g., no longer to I look at piles of grey snow wishing them away!), they are just as beautiful. Wishing you a bounty of beauty as the buds begin to bloom!

Even Cake decorating is colorful!

Suddenly Seven is always reading. A tent is a particularly cozy place to read, don’tcha think?

  1. I just happened upon your blog and I love it. I was diagnosed with FBC in January of 2012. I had a single mastectomy and chemo along with herceptin for one year which I just completed 3 weeks ago. I, like you, exercised all through treatment for my physical and mental well being. I played tennis when I could and walked every day. My goal is also to run a half marathon which I hope to do on May 5. No small feat for this 54 year old. I love your sense of humor and attitude. I plan to be a loyal follower.

    1. Dear Susan,
WELCOME to The Silver Pen! Many thanks for your note and kind words! I'm so happy that you are through your treatment and running toward a half marathon. YAH for you! Please take good care of yourself during this recovery period. Look so forward to staying in touch!
      All my best!

  2. Happy Spring! We are having warmer temps in Omaha this past week; 71 today. The buds are beginning to appear on trees and bushes; soon to burst into blossoms. I will soon get my deck furniture cleaned and arranged so that we can enjoy the great outdoors again.
Spring is my favorite season of the year.

  3. I love the photo of SS reading Star Wars. A girl after my own heart! Happiness is a good book and nice comfortable place to read it. It looks like she has her own tented space. I love it!
