New Year’s Eve Celebrations Around The World

New Year’s Eve Celebrations Around The World

The Atlantic has compiled the most inspiring group of photographs of New Year’s Eve Celebrations around the world. I’m not one for crowds – ever, but especially on New Year’s Eve. So last night the HOTY, Suddenly Seven and I rang in 2014 in the best way possible: at an intimate and super fun dinner party with old friends and new ones. We celebrated the New Year on New York time (because of course I couldn’t possibly stay awake until Midnight!), threw confetti (everywhere!) played charades (don’t EVER pick me to be on your team!) and talked about our goals for this year.

A wonderful Silver Lining  was that Suddenly Seven was the hostess with the mostest, serving us dinner and entertaining us by falling in the pool (apparently she was too busy playing to look down!). Fortunately, she chose to laugh about it!

Hope you had a wonderful evening! What did you do?

Please enjoy these images and see more here at The Atlantic.

Dubai kicked off New Year with a dazzling bid for a new world record to cap those the Gulf city state already holds for its mammoth property developments. The glittering fireworks display that lasted around six minutes spanned over 100 kilometers (60 miles) of the Dubai coast, which boasts an archipelago of man-made islands and Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest tower. (Karim Sahib/AFP/Getty Images)New Year's Eve Celebrations Around The WorldFireworks explode over the Rhine, the Cologne Cathedral in the background, during a New Year’s party in Cologne, Germany, on January 1, 2014.
