  1. A loving way to look at the death of a person gone too soon. Even if these words can help put on the brakes of grief, even ever so slighty, they are worth saying.

  2. Hollye,
The words are lovely at a time when most words hold little meaning. I was diagnosed with BC in November and had my surgery on 12/12/12. I am a 3rd grade teacher and was not in school on Friday. I love what I do and wish I could be with my students. I also live and work in a beautiful New England town. If I feel well enough I plan to go in and talk to my kids in the next couple of days. BC seems so unimportant with the fear our children may be feeling and the support they need. Thank you again for the sweet poem.

    1. Dear Cheryl,
First of all, thank you for writing and sharing your story. I am hoping that you are feeling stronger with each passing day. How amazing you are to gleam such perspective after your surgery. What a (MAJOR) Silver Lining.
Please take good care of yourself during your recovery period.
Sending all of my very best wishes to you!
      Hollye
