Books on Music, The Brain & Emotion

Why is it that some music makes people want to get up and dance while it makes other people want to barf (e.g., Billy Idol’s White Wedding – I’m of the dancing variety when it comes to Billy Idol)? Why is it that some music is seemingly always  played at weddings or funerals (e.g., Ave Maria)? I’m fascinated by music and it’s wonderful influence on our lives.

To go along with Musical Mondays, I thought I’d share some super great books that make the direct connection between music, brains and emotions. Love it. I found these awesome recommendations on one of my favorite websites, Brain Pickings. Hope that you enjoy (Silver Lining).
