Brookside Marathon

Slow and Steady Wins the Race

Morning!

Below is a quote from a dear friend of ours.  It rings so true as my head is buzzing with lots of things, including anticipation, aggravation, motivation, frustration, eagerness, and an overwhelming feeling to let’s get things rolling.  Thanks, JW, for the great perspective!

Don’t rush the comeback. Win the marathon.

  1. I am Jason Brocke's aunt- It is through Maili Halme Brocke I have been following your FBC!

My mother is a 20 something year survivor of FBC.

Please know you are in my thoughts throughout the day and I am looking so forward to hearing great news about your pathology report!

The power of positive thinking, friendship, love and prayer, go such a long way in recovery and it is obvious you have all of these things!

Thank you for letting me join you in this journey!
    Praying for you,

    1. "May the sun bring you new energies by day
May the moon softly restore you by night
May the rain wash away any worries you may have
And the breeze blow new strength into your being
And then all the days of your life may you walk gently
Through the world and know its beauty "

      All my love

  2. Hi Hollye! I've been getting all my updates from Merryl having no idea you & JJ would really be blogging it all out every step of the way. You & your blog are awesome! You sound great for what you've been through. If you need any movie suggestions, Ava & I have our own list of favs including Kung Foo Panda, Cinderella, Pochahontas & Aladin. Yesterday we watch "Year without a Santa Clause"! Your list seemed like an excellent start! Take care & love.
