Silver Lined Discoveries: Clarisonic Mia

For a long time, I have been a HUGE fan of  Clarisonic (which in case you haven’t heard of it, uses a sonic frequency to clean and tone skin). I can’t believe that I haven’t kvelled about it here before!

Though it’s been around for a long time, last week a girlfriend said to me, “Have you ever heard of the Clarisonic?  It’s AMAZING!”  Well, I’m usually at the back of the bus when it comes to knowing about beauty products, but I did know (& love) the Clarisonic, so I thought I’d share it with you.

Ever since I started using it, I have noticed a HUGE difference in my skin. In fact, I love it so much that recently I invested in the Clarisonic Mia which is a smaller version of the original and is perfect for traveling adventures.

What makes the Clarisonic so fabulous is that it cleanses thoroughly while the sonic micro-massage loosens and removes dirt, oil and makeup from pores. Without proper cleansing, pollutants, oil and bacteria accumulate on the skin, clogging pores and causing blackheads, blemishes and dullness. Though not scientifically proven, I happen to believe that not using mine for a few days a couple of weeks ago contributed to the blistery and zitty perioral dermatitis that I had (remember that attractive phase?!?).

Another Silver Lining is that sonic cleansing is effective on all skin types — even skin affected by complicated conditions such as seborrheic dermatitis, rosacea, and acne. Ahem. I’m just sayin’….

You can buy it at Nordstrom: http://shop.nordstrom.com/c/clarisonic

Now, it’s expensive at about $119 for the Mia, but I have to tell you that it is worth every, single penny that I spent on it (Silver Lining).
