Spring Style Inspiration: Floral

I love flowers. Everything about them. I love the way they look and smell and especially they way they make me feel. So, wearing anything floral makes me, well, happy. This is the reason that Spring is my favorite fashion season of the year.

The thought of wearing floral during the spring and summer months reminds of Meryl Streep in The Devil Wears Prada when she practically yawns when one of her editors proposes the idea of wearing floral in the spring.

What can I say? Yes, it may be redundant and even (GASP!) boring, but florals simply go with spring. Here are some of my favorite looks for this upcoming season that I love…love…love.

Oscar de la Renta (of course)

Nicholas Kirkwood for Erdem botanical pumps at Nordstrom as seen on Vogue.com

Hermes Scarf. I wore them during my chemo-induced bald period, so I’m a little hesitant, but this image reminds me how chic they are!

J.Crew. In case I haven’t mentioned it, I LOVE J.Crew!

Prada rocks this Spring. Total cuteness. I wish I could wear those hot pants. Wouldn’t it be just the greatest hoot to go to the grocery store in those? I’m just sayin’…it would be FUN!

Louis Vuitton is super sweet this season.

Proenza Schouler continues to do an amazing job, season after season. I love their persistent energy, creativity and enthusiasm!

Miu Miu is the avant-garde, modern, sensual, provocative yet sophisticated brand, created in 1993 by Miuccia Prada. It’s SO fun!

I continue to be amazed by Stella McCartney. Not only are her designs exquisite, but her life philosophy (all vegan, all the time) is incredibly aspirational (Silver Lining).

What are you wearing when the snow melts?

  1. Stunning! Your choices are anything but boring! I wear them in summer dresses too. The brighter the better – sorry Anna Wintour et al!!! ha ha ha
Florals are obviously making a comeback – in interiors too. We're woman and we can't help ourselves. Flowers are the beauty of life expressed!
