After being gone for 4 days, I was in serious need of some time with our daughter, a/k/a Sweetly Six. I’ve been eying this recipe for Baked Apple Cinnamon Spice Chips from the With Style and Grace blog for some time.
Since Sweetly Six and I love to spend time together in the kitchen (she is a more sophisticated chef than I am, by the way!), I decided that this would be a fun snack to make together.
Ohhhh, am I glad that I finally made them. It turns out that (aside from the slicing), they are the perfect treat to make with a little helper (Silver Lining).
Enjoy!
The apple chips look like a very warm, sweet and spicy creation, Sweetly Six! Thank you for sharing this mouth watering recipe!
Absolutely! Hope you enjoy them!
This recipe sounds so simple and simply delicious!! I am going to try it out tomorrow! Thank you.
Enjoy, Janis! We devoured our batch right after I made it!
Scrumptious! I didn't have large apples so I used four smaller ones. I also didn't add the sugar or sugar substitute and they turned out great! Your Sweetly Six's hands look adorable!!! My two daughters are 33 and 31 but they're still VERY SWEET too!! I sent them each a copy of the recipe.
I want to thank you for continuing your Silver Pen blog. It has been an answer to many of my prayers. I am currently battling ovarian cancer. Had surgery last June and will have my 10th chemo. treatment this coming Thursday. I will be praying for you as you continue on your journey, and especially on Tuesday as you undergo surgery. You are one of God's messengers… Your courage and positive attitude is such an inspiration…
Thanks for your note, Janis! So glad that the apples were great! We devoured our batch this week.
I deeply appreciate your kind words! Thanks so very much!
What oven temp do you use?
350 degrees. Hope you enjoy them, Liesl!
350 or 200 for oven as stated in recipe?
I'd go with the 200 as the recipe states…best bet.
Thanks, Michele!
These are making my house smell like apple pie this very second. I can't wait till they're done!
YUMMY! Enjoy!
What a great idea. I have all the ingredients to make some, today! Hallelujah! Thank you for sharing the recipe and your, uhh, how did you put it, "mental, emotional, … and sometimes hilarious", story. I am glad you are open to friends. I will visit your blog again.
Blessings and prayers,
Darlene
Thanks so very much, Darlene! Enjoy the Cinnamon chips! 🙂
Hi I was wondering how you got them NOT to sick to the parchment paper. I just mades these and 90% of them were stuck to the paper. The ones I was able to get off are so yummy!!
Hi Christi,
Thanks for your note! I didn't use parchment paper….
ENJOY!

I'm going to make these for Thanksgiving tomorrow! I found Pumpkin Pie Spice in our spice drawer as well and I think I'll try it on half of them and see how it turns out =]
Thanks for the recipe!
Wonderful, Meggs! Enjoy!
