  1. The pink rose is stunning…back here in Chicago the only roses growing are the Lenten Roses (Helleboris). They are so beautiful, but even more so because they are blooming among all the dark brown, grey, and black winter detritus, and very occasionanly some pale shoots of green. They are a real SL in what has been a very cold and gloomy March and early April. I wish I could send you a picture. They remind me of you as you continue to bloom in very challenging conditions. Blessing on the week…keep up the bloomin' good work!

  2. I've not been able to read your blog for a couple of weeks and have just caught up. As always, as I read, my heart warms and my feeling of friendship for you, my as yet, unmet friend grows.

My sister just had aortic surgery, I spent the night before her surgery in her hospital room and told her about you and your FBC. We found several SLs that night and had some very good laughs. Thank you for touching my sister and helping her during a difficult and scary time.
YOU are truely one enormous SL!
