Did you all happen to watch the Academy Awards, Hollywood’s biggest night? We sure did! In fact, Sweetly Six put on her “Ball Gown” to watch the red carpet arrivals. On the menu: popcorn, ice cream, chips and shrimp.
I thought it was a super show. Really fun and entertaining. Billy Crystal is always a Silver Lining in my book!
And can we just talk about how fabulous Meryl Streep is? She just gets better and better and better. After the HOTY and I saw The Iron Lady, I had high hopes that she would win and I’m so giddy that she did!

Those dresses are all great choices. I think Michelle Williams is my best-dressed. I wold love to wear that dress. Emma Stone's red dress with the big bow has grown on me. And Gwyneth's was pure Old Hollywood elegance. I think I could picture Joan Crawford in that dress with the cape. I loved Rooney Mara's white dress in contrast with her dark hair and blunt bangs. And Octavia Spencer's was beautifully gathered in the middle so it fit perfectly. And so happy that The Artist and Hugo did so well.
Wouldn't it be fun to wear those dresses? I also really liked Octavia Spencer's dress…probably because she wore the dress…the dress didn't wear her. I'm also so glad about The ARtist and Hugo. Thanks for your comment, Victoria!
