Yippee for Yellow!

I am cuckoo for the color yellow. It’s just so doggone…well, joyous is the best way for me to describe it and how it makes me feel! Yellow shines with optimism & enlightenment. Shades of golden yellow carry the promise of a positive future.

Did you know that yellow represents the third chakra? This chakra is linked to the stomach, liver, skin, large intestine, muscular system, and solar plexus area and is representative of vitality and will.

The third chakra is connected to self-esteem, personal power and intuition. Tuning in to this chakra allows us to let go of fears. When this chakra is open, it acts to empower a person and help her find personal strength.

Put some yellow in your life when you want these Silver Linings:

  • Mental stimulation
  • Sharper memory and concentration
  • Relief from nervousness and exhaustion
  • Protection from lethargy and depression during the long, dark winter months
  • Better communication skills

Wearing yellow is energizing and sends the message that you know who you are, so embrace the sunny side of life with these cheery yellow finds.

  1. LOVE the umbrella tree and must definitely get more yellow in my life. I knew I was missing something… slightly worrying, however, that you know who Wiz Khalifa is…;) great post.

  2. Wow! Love the umbrella tree! Yellow happens to be my favourite colour! Even my kitchen cabinets are yellow (although a soft buttery yellow) soft yellow walls and light birch hardwood floors (kinda yellow too)!! For me, it's the warmest most cheery colour! I enjoyed reading all the information about the colour yellow. Thanks, Hollye!
