A Beautiful Brookside Evening

Despite the Nausea, Neulesta and Nasty Fall, today has been a great day!

Wondering about the Nasty Fall?  Well, not-so-graceful here (yours truly) took a dive leaving the clinic today.  Yes, wiped out on my tush….in front of a group of people. (Of course.)  It had NOTHING to do with FBC, chemotherapy, steroids, the moon or the tides.

This may sound strange, but I kind of felt like my old self.  I have always had a tendency to take dives, walk into walls and do generally embarrassing things in front of other people. So, being an old-hand at this, I managed to pick myself up (after everyone scurried over to make sure that I was ok – that’s always the worst part!), proclaim myself to be “just fine” and keep on walking!

At least my scarf didn’t fall off (Silver Lining!).

Santa Barbara sunset in January: Ahhhhh.
These evenings fuel the heart and soul!
Pink! Our favorite color!

A thing of beauty is a joy forever: Its loveliness increases; it will never pass into nothingness; but still will keep a bower quiet for us, and a sleep full of sweet dreams, and health, and quite breathing.

-John Keats

Wishing you a night full of Silver Lined Dreams!

  1. Ahhhhh, reminds me of he time I was leaving the hospital after receiving a 3 hour infusion of magnesium the day after chemo (obviously blood results didn't come back stat, so was missed before treatment) and fell flat on my face in the driveway of Northwestern!
